Friedman Named Wellesley Associate Director of Facilities and Operations (Aug 19, 2014)

Marni Friedman joined Wellesley as Associate Director of Facilities and Operations in 2014. She came to Wellesley from nearby Brandeis University, where she worked for eight years.

Friedman served in three roles at Brandeis, beginning her stint in August of 2005, as an assistant coach for the volleyball program. In 2006, she joined the department on a full time basis as a Department Administrator and was promoted to Operations and Events Director in June of 2011.

In her latest role with the Judges, Friedman managed all of Brandeis’ indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, including scheduling playing and practice time for 19 varsity teams. She served as game manager for various varsity teams, and supervised the hiring and training of all facilities and operations student workers. 

Friedman is a 2004 graduate of Brandeis with a Bachelors Degree in American Studies. She also earned a Masters in Project Management from the Waltham institution, completing the degree 2010. As an undergraduate, she was a four-year member of the Judges volleyball team. Friedman served as captain for both her junior and senior years, and also earned an Athletic Director Award as a senior.

Prior to Brandeis, Freidman spent a year as a member services coordinator at Boston Sports Club in Waltham. She also has high school and club volleyball coaching experience.
