Flesch, Guild, Hamilton Named to Field Hockey Academic All-Conference Team

BOSTON, Mass. – The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2015 NEWMAC Field Hockey Academic All-Conference Team on Wednesday and Wellesley College seniors Hannah Flesch (Rockville, Md.) and Caroline Guild (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and sophomore Emmy Hamilton (New York, N.Y.) have all earned recognition.  

The 2015 All-Conference Team consists of an impressive 55 NEWMAC field hockey student-athletes. Flesch and Guild have now earned Academic All-Conference awards in all three years of eligibility, as each was named to the Academic All-Conference team in 2013 and 2014. Hamilton earned the award in her first year of eligibility. 

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2015 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at her institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season. The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of 11 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
