Wellesley Field Hockey Earns At-Large Bid to NCAA Tournament

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The NCAA Division III Field Hockey Committee has announced the field of 24 teams that will compete in the 2015 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship and Wellesley College field hockey has earned an at-large bid, and a first round bye, and will play at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, at Howard Ryan Field in Brunswick, Maine. 

Wellesley will face the winner of Becker College (11-11 overall) and The University of New England (16-6), who will play a first round match-up on Wednesday, November 11. Becker defeated Wheelock College, 5-3 in the New England Collegiate Conference championship to earn the program's first NCAA Tournament trip. UNE advanced thanks to a 1-0 overtime victory over Endicott College in the Commonwealth Coast Conference tournament final.  

Tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for students/seniors. All games will have live stats and will be webcast by the Northeast Sports Network (http://www.nsnsports.net/). 

The winner of the regional will advance to the NCAA Division III semifinals and finals, Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22, at Turf Field on the campus of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
