Field Hockey's Sridhar Named NFHCA Third Team All-American

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College field hockey senior Anissa Sridhar (London, Ontario, Canada) has been named a 2015 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) / Longstreth Division III Third Team All-American for the second straight season. Sridhar becomes the sixth player in program history to earn multiple All-American honors.

"Anissa is very talented," said Wellesley Head Coach Julia King. "But she has also worked incredibly hard to get to where she is as a player. We are definitely going to miss her next season, both on and off the field. She has been a great teammate, very humble, hardworking and a great example for everyone in our program."

The Blue center forward can now add All-American recognition to her NFHCA All-Region and New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) first team All-Conference accolades in 2015. Wellesley's leading scorer, Sridhar registered career-highs in goals, with 14, and points, with 35, as well as game-winning goals, with five, in 21 games this season.

Sridhar was named the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week on October 5, following a week in which she netted a pair of goals and added a pair of assists to lead the Blue to a 2-1 record. She was also selected to play in the NFHCA North-South Senior All-Star Game.

Wellesley College field hockey advanced to the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals for the third-straight season in 2015, finishing the year with a 17-4 record.
