Barrow Receives Second NEWMAC Women's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Week Award

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Wellesley College basketball first year guard Trinity Barrow (Evans, Ga.) was named the Co-NEWMAC Women's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 14, 2024. Springfield College junior Angela Czeremcha (West Springfield, Mass.) also received Co-NEWMAC Women's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.

Barrow recorded an eye-popping 14 steals over two games this past week for the Blue. The sensational first year is now averaging a NEWMAC leading 3.5 steals per game this season. Barrow added 40 points (20 per game), 12 rebounds and 10 assists to the stat sheet. 

Barrow previously earned NEWMAC Women's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Week honors for the week of December 10, 2023.
