2017-2018: As a first-year, went 8-5 overall...posted a 1-0 win in Wellesley’s 23-4 win over Yeshiva on November 5...went 2-1 at the Vassar Invitational on November 12...posted a 5-2 finish at the Northeast Fencing Conference at Smith on February 10...had a 2-0 win over UMass in Wellesley’s 24-3 victory against UMass on February 10.

Before Wellesley: Attended Spring Valley High School...graduated in 2017...ran cross country and track and field for four years...earned varsity letters for three seasons...was captain of cross country team during senior season.

Personal: Daughter of Herb and Akiyo Shao...born in Redmond, Wash....grew up as a military brat...has one older sister...can ride a unicycle.
