FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Wellesley College fencing was voted No. 4 in Division III fencing in the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday.

New York University was the top ranked Division III fencing program, followed by Johns Hopkins in second, Brandeis in third, and the Blue in fourth. Princeton fencing was voted the top overall program in all divisions. 

Wellesley recently began its season at the LIU Shark Tank Challenge, where the team went 4-1 with wins over Drew, NJIT, Stevens, and Rutgers.

Up next, the Blue will compete on Sunday, November 12 at the Vassar Invitational in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
