Wellesley Fencing Places Four on USFCA All-Region Team

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Four members of Wellesley College fencing received U.S. Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) Northeast All-Region recognition on Thursday. First year Phoebe Li (Palo Alto, Calif.) made the All-Northeast Second Team for all NCAA divisions in foil. P. Li also made the Division III All-Region Team. Sophomore Gina Huang (Taipei, Taiwan) and first years Alisha Li (Warren, N.J.) and Lauren Khoo (San Francisco, Calif.) each made the Division III All-Region Team.

The awards are determined based on result and field size at each of the NCAA Regional Competitions.

P. Li became the first member of the Blue to reach the final round of the NCAA Northeast Regional since 2019 last Saturday. P. Li placed 12th out of nearly 60 competitors in foil. Huang and Khoo both advanced to the quarterfinals round in foil. Huang finished 27th while Khoo took 30th. A. Li made the quarterfinals in epee and claimed 32nd overall.
