WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Visiting College of the Holy Cross topped the Wellesley College golf team, 337-347, in a dual match on Saturday at the par-72, 5,860-yard Nehoiden Golf Course on the campus of Wellesley College.

Wellesley had three of the top five finishers against Holy Cross, a Division-I program, but senior Crusader Marissa Cameron's (Garden City, N.Y.) 75 was the top score for the day. The Blue were led by first year Annika Vandayar (Garnet Valley, Pa.), who carded an 84 and finished in a tie for second-place with Holy Cross sophomore Maxine Harney (Medford, Mass.).

For Wellesley, senior Lei Wei (Brentwood, Calif.) and first-year Katie Lee (Portland, Ore.) finished tied for fourth place with matching scores of 87. A three-way tie wrapped up the dual match scoring, as Wellesley first-year Amy (Zilin) Jin (Shenzgen, China) and Holy Cross's Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) and Maddy Glynn (Pittsford, N.Y.) each tallied rounds of 89.

The Wellesley golf team is back in two weeks at the NYU Invitational. The two-day event will tee off on Saturday, September 19th at the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, NY.
