Wellesley Golf Opens Mount Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College golf opened play at the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Wellesley totaled an 18-hole score of 372 on day one of the two-day event at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. The Blue are currently in tenth place.   

Williams College holds the lead following the first round of play, as the Ephs combined to post a score of 307. Williams sophomore Phoebe Mattana (Demarest, N.J.) is currently in the lead after shooting an even par 72.

For Wellesley, first year Annika Vandayar (Garnet Valley, Pa.) tallied the low score on the day, shooting an opening round 85. Sophomore Maya Muldowney (Waunakee, Wis.) added a day one total of 91, while senior Lei Wei (Brentwood, Calif.) carded a score of 96. First year Kathleena Inchoco (Fairfield, Conn.) also added a score of 100 for the Blue.

The Blue will tee-off on day two of the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Sunday morning.
