Record-Breaking Performance Earns Hou Liberty League Women's Golf Performer of the Week Award

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College golf first year Emily Hou (San Ramon, Calif.) has been named the Liberty League Women's Golf Performer of the Week for the week of September, 5-11.

Hou set a new women's course record of 70 at the Par-73, 5,702 yard Brunswick Golf Club to lead the Blue to the team title on Sunday at Bowdoin's State of Maine Invitational. Hou, who earned medalist honors in the one-round event, was the only player in the field to finish under par, going 3-under in her collegiate debut with a round that included three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 16th hole.

The Blue golf team returns to competition Saturday and Sunday, September 17-18, at the Wesleyan (CT) Invitational at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, Conn.
