Blue Golf Sweeps Liberty League Women's Golf Major Awards

TROY, N.Y. -- Wellesley College golf first years Audrey Wang (Fremont, Calif.), Aileen Du (Auckland, New Zealand) and coaches Jackie Beck and Terry Crimmins have all been named Liberty League Women's Golf major award winners. Wang earns the 2023-24 Performer of the Year award. Du receives the 2023-24 Rookie of the Year accolade. Beck and Crimmins win Coaching Staff of the Year for the second season in a row.

Wang had a breakout season for the Blue, culminating in an All-Liberty League Second Team honor. Wang earned Liberty League Performer of the Week on three occasions and Rookie of the Week twice this season. She had six top three finishes this season and won the George Phinney Classic and Vassar Invitational. The first year set a program record for the lowest 18-hole score in program history (68).
Aileen Du | Fy. | Auckland, New Zealand | Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Du helped the Blue to success throughout the 2023-24 season. An All-Liberty League First Team member, Du recorded seven top five finishes this season. She set a Wellesley golf program record for the lowest 36-hole score (146 - 71-75) to guide the Blue to victory at the Jack Leaman Invitational. Du received one Liberty League Performer of the Week honor and one Rookie of the Week award.
Jackie Beck & Terry Crimmins | Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Head Coach Jackie Beck and Assistant Coach Terry Crimmins led Wellesley to one of the most successful seasons in program history. The Blue won seven separate events this season, including the Jack Leaman Invitational against several ranked Division III programs. The team was ranked as high as T-8th in the the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) poll, the highest in program history, and finished the year at No. 12 on Clippd. Under the leadership of Beck and Crimmins, the team set program records for the lowest 18-hole team score (284) and lowest 36-hole team score (604) this season.

A member conference of the NCAA's Division III, The Liberty League has 11 full members and sponsors championships in 27 sports. The member institutions of the league place the highest priority on the overall quality of the educational experience and on the successful completion of its student-athletes' academic programs. The member institutions seek to establish and maintain an environment in which a student-athlete's athletic activities are conducted as an integral part of the educational experience.
