Wellesley Lacrosse Reveals 2024 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College lacrosse has announced the team's 2024 schedule. The schedule features 16 contests and eight home games at Butler Stadium, including a Wednesday night match-up versus NEWMAC foe Wheaton College on April 3.

Key Dates:

  • Home Opener: Tuesday, March 5, 2024, 4:30 PM vs. Curry
  • NEWMAC Opener: Saturday, March 16, 2024, 1:00 PM vs Salve Regina
  • #EarnTheW Day: Wednesday, April 3, 2024, 7:00 PM vs Wheaton
  • 2024 NEWMAC Championship: April 27-May 4, 2024

The Blue start the 2024 campaign with a trio of road games. After starting the season at Merchant Marine on February 24, Wellesley travels to Gordon (Feb. 28) and Worcester State (Mar. 2).

The team begins a four-game homestand with the team's home opener against Curry at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, March 5. After Curry, Wellesley faces Saint Joseph (Conn.) at home on March 13 before starting NEWMAC competition by welcoming new conference member Salve Regina on Saturday, March 16. The homestand concludes with a non-conference contest against Nichols on Wednesday, March 20. Wellesley finishes March with a pair of road games at Clark (Mar. 23) and MIT (Mar. 30).

On Wednesday, April 3, the Blue host Wheaton for a 7:00 PM game that will be a part of Wellesley Athletics' spring #EarnTheW Day. Giveaways and prizes for students and fans in attendance at the game will be announced at a later date. Following the Wheaton contest, Wellesley will host back-to-back NEWMAC games against Emerson (Apr. 6) and Smith (Apr. 10). 

The final four games of the regular season features road matchups at Springfield (Apr. 13), Coast Guard (Apr. 17) and Babson (Apr. 24). The last home game against Mount Holyoke on Saturday, April 20 will serve as the team's senior day.

The 2024 NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Championship will take place April 27-May 4, 2024.
