Season Preview: 2024 Wellesley Lacrosse

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College lacrosse starts its season on the road at the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday, February 24 at 3:00 PM. Links to live stats and video throughout the season can be found on the team's schedule page.

Captains: Willa McGough '24 (Plainfield, N.H.), Gabrielle Shell '24 (Upper Arlington, Ohio)

The Blue Print:

Wellesley claimed eighth in the NEWMAC Preseason Poll
Marino takes over as the Interim Head Coach of the Blue after two seasons on the sidelines as an Assistant Coach.
Sophomore goalie Anna Blake Patrick (Portland, Ore.) returns after making 89 stops and earning NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week of March 12 last season.
Shell has registered 30 goals and 14 over the past two seasons for Wellesley. Sophomore Finley Tipton (Coppell, Texas) led the team with 30 goals in 2023.
The Blue will host eight games at Butler Stadium this season.
NEWMAC competition begins at home against Salve Regina on Saturday, March 16 at 1:00 PM. That game will also serve as a One Love cause game.
Wellesley hosts NEWMAC rival Wheaton as part of #EarnTheWDay on April 3 at 7:00 PM.
Senior Day will take place on Saturday, April 20 at 2:30 PM against Mount Holyoke.
