BEVERLEY, Mass. – First year Larissa Cade (Middlefield, Conn.) scored the game's only goal in the 40th minute to lead host Endicott College to a 1-0 non-conference victory over Wellesley College soccer on Wednesday night at Hempstead Stadium.

The Gulls remain unbeaten in 2016, improving to 4-0-1 on the year. Wellesley is now 3-2-0 overall, having dropped their last two games after opening the year with three-straight wins.

Cade broke a scoreless opening half at 39:25, scoring her third goal of the season when she knocked home a feed from sophomore Charlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.). Pernice got two attempts of her own on goal at the end of the half, but was turned back by Blue goalkeeper Olivia Reckley (Grosse Isle, Mich.) at 41:13, before ripping a shot wide less than a minute later.

Reckley turned in a season-best performance, recording nine saves on ten Endicott shots on goal. The Gulls finished with a 20-6 advantage in shots but Reckley stood tall, only allowing Cade's tally.

In the Endicott goal, junior Caroline Armbruster (Stowe, Vt.) made three saves to move to 4-0-0 on the year with her second shutout. Wellesley first year Carley Phillips (Waterford, Conn.) had a team-high three shots for the Blue.

Wellesley will look to get back on track on Saturday when they host Emerson in their New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener at 12:00 PM. Endicott will host Curry on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
