Blue Squash Takes on GW in the Cayman Islands
GRAND CAYMAN -- The Wellesley College squash team returned home from their winter training trip this weekend, after several days in Grand Cayman. The Blue's trip included a match against George Washington University, with Wellesley falling 9-0.
The Blue were overmatched against a tough GW team that is currently ranked ninth in Division I. Wellesley first-year Gabriella Wynne put up the strongest fight against the Colonials, taking her match to four games, including posting an 11-9 win over Emely Levyn in the third game.
Wellesley squash returns to action at the Pioneer Valley Invitational this Friday and Saturday. The Blue open with a 6:00pm match against Amherst on Friday, and then play Smith at 11:00am on Saturday, followed by a 12:30pm match against Mount Holyoke.
