Wellesley Tennis Heads to NCAA Tournament

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Wellesley College tennis team will head to the 2012 NCAA Division III Tennis Tournament, participating in a six team regional at Middlebury College beginning on Friday, May 11th. 

The Blue will square off against Mount Saint Mary College on Friday, at 2:00pm. Wellesley, who won the NEWMAC tournament in the fall, is making its eighth appearance in the NCAA tournament. The Blue are 16-6 overall and ranked 18th in the latest ITA Division III national poll. The Knights, winners of the Skyline Conference, are making their third-straight NCAA appearance, and sport a 13-3 overall mark. 

The winner of the Wellesley/Mount Saint Mary match-up will advance to the second round to play #12 Bowdoin. #4 Middlebury has the bye in the first round on the other half of the bracket, as Ithaca and Scranton will compete for a chance to play the Panthers.
