Blue Track & Field Lands 11 on NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

WESTWOOD, Mass. – The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2020 NEWMAC Women's Track and Field Academic All-Conference Team. The NEWMAC women's track and field student-athletes totaled 144 selections this year, including 11 from the Wellesley College track & field team. 

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2019 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Seniors Keiko Hilmo (Saint Paul, Minn.), Eva Paradiso (Burlington, Vt.), and Elizabeth Wegman (East Sandwich, Mass.) each earned a third Academic All-Conference honor to end their respective careers, while classmates Crystalina Guo (Montgomery, N.J.) and Taylor Mahlandt (Ephrata, Pa.) were named to the squad for a second time. Bradbury, Paradiso, and Wegman were among the four competitors for the Blue at the 2020 Division III New England Indoor Championships, the final event for Wellesley prior to the cancellation of the 2020 outdoor track & field season.


The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of 11 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, Wheaton College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
