NORTON, Mass. – Wellesley track & field picks up a first place finish in the 4x200 relay in the non team scoring Wheaton Pre-Post Season Invitational on Saturday.

Wellesley's A Relay of Sally Richardson (Orono, Minn.), Kathryn Winkler (Bedford, Mass.), Dallis Kehoe (Norwell, Mass.), and Eriko Darcy (Chicago, Ill.) took first place in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:50.61, a new Wellesley program record, and necked out the Wheaton A relay team by under a second. The Blue added a fifth place finish in the 4x400 relay at 4:45.61 with the squad of Emily Wall (Stuyvesant, N.Y.), Sana Khan (Weston, Conn.), Alicia Naranjo-Champion (El Monte, Calif.), and Jesenia Lopez (Fontana, Calif.).

The Blue recorded three top-10 finishers in the 60 meter dash with first year Merete Ogah (Austin, Texas) leading the way with a sixth place finish at 8:31. Sophomore Darcy was just behind with a time of 8.33 and Richardson placed ninth coming in at 8.34. Senior Arianna Sablad (Colorado Springs, Colo.) ran a 8.49 which was good for 14th place.

Distance runners Amy Tao (Hong Kong, China) and Lily Herold (Athens, Ohio) placed second and third respectively in the 3000 meter run for the Blue. Tao came in at 11:15.50 and Herold at 11:16.70. Also competing was junior Bethany Pasko (Wellesley, Mass.) who finished in 12:46.22 and Charlotte Adams (Cincinnati, Ohio) who clocked a 13:36.45.

Four different runners competed in the mile run with sophomore Wall posting a 5:47.19 to take 10th place. Sophomore Adien Reid (Malibu, Calif.) came in at 5:57.67, first year Naranjo-Champion at 6:03.38, and first year Khan at 6:03.57.

Richardson continued her impressive day with a fourth place finish in the 200 meter dash, clocking in at 27.23. Darcy also placed inside the top-10 with a run of 27.78. Kehoe posted a 10.55 in the finals of the 60 meter hurdles after a solid showing in the prelims at 10.09. 

First year Erin Dickinson (Omaha, Neb.) added a fifth place finish in the long jump with a best leap of 4.61 meters. Classmate Kiara Dozier (Honolulu, Hawaii) competed in the weight throw and had a best toss of 5.32 meters.

Wellesley will gear up for the New England Division III Championships on Friday, February 25, hosted by Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
