Wellesley Track & Field Places 17 on NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

17 members of Wellesley track and field received NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors.

WESTWOOD, Mass. - The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released the 2023 Women's Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team on Wednesday. The team included 17 members of Wellesley College track & field.

Seniors Claire Anderson (Denver, Colo.), Dallis Kehoe (Norwell, Mass.), Ellie Murphy-Weise (San Francisco, Calif.), Bethany Pasko (Wellesley, Mass.), Sally Richardson (Orono, Minn.), Zoe Shaw (Portland, Ore.), and Kate Winkler (Bedford, Mass.) all made the Academic All-Conference Team for the third straight year.

Joining the seven seniors were juniors Bianca Lee (Hong Kong, China), Aidan Reid (Malibu, Calif.), Ana Rubin (Weston, Fla.), Emily Wall (Stuyvesant, N.Y.), and Wen Li Yau (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) who all earned their second honor. Classmate Taylor Quaye (Redondo Beach, Calif.) made the team for the first time.

Also receiving their first Academic All-Conference honor were sophomores Charlotte Adams (Cincinnati, Ohio), Erin Dickinson (Omaha, Neb.), Ria Goveas (Bangalore, India), and Alicia Naranjo-Champion (El Monte, Calif.).

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2022 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
