Blue Field Hockey Receives Academic Honors From NFHCA

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College field hockey has been named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Team Award honoree for the 2015 season. In addition, seniors Hannah Flesch (Rockville, Md.) and Caroline Guild (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and sophomore Emmy Hamilton have been individually named to the Division III National Academic Squad. 

Teams must achieve a collective Team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the Fall Semester of the 2015-16 academic year to earn the award, while individuals must have achieved a cumulate GPA of 3.30 or higher through the Fall Semester of the 2015-16 academic year to be eligible for recognition.

The trio of Flesch, Guild and Hamilton also earned NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors following the 2015 season, while Flesch and Guild were awarded NFHCA Academic Squad honors in all four years of their collegiate careers at Wellesley.
