Watch the NCAA Selection Show!

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Wellesley College crew team will make their third-straight appearance at the NCAA Championships, announced on Monday's selection show on NCAA.com. The Blue will compete for a national title May 25-27th at Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J., with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Rider serving as hosts.

The Blue will first race on Friday, May 25th at 8:00/8:30am in heats and at 3:00/3:15pm in qualifiers. Finals will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 11:00am.

The 2012 NCAA Division III Rowing Championships are comprised of six teams and each team is required to field two boats of eight rowers and a coxswain. Two at-large Eights were also selected.

Wellesley earned a spot in the National Championship after fantastic fall and spring seasons. The Blue swept each race they entered at the NEWMAC Championships, taking the varsity eight title and the overall points trophy. Wellesley also finished as Seven Sisters Champions and took third place among Division III competition at both the New England and ECAC Championships.

This marks the fourth overall NCAA Championship appearance in Wellesley rowing history. Last season, the Blue took third place as a team, tying the highest finish for any Wellesley squad in NCAA Championship history.
