Blue Crew Posts Pair of Top-20 Times at Head Of The Charles

BOSTON, Mass. -- Wellesley College crew posted a pair of top-20 times in the Women's Collegiate Eights at the 52nd Head Of The Charles Regatta on Sunday on the Charles River in Boston. The Blue finished 6th and 18th in the event, posting a top-ten mark for the seventh-consecutive year at the world-famous event. 

Wellesley's varsity eight recorded a time of 18:51.212 to earn the sixth place finish. Wellesley's second varsity eight finished the famed Charles River course in 19:49.924 to take 18th place. Wellesley was one of three teams, along with Tufts and Bates, to have a pair of crew's in Sunday's event. Wesleyan won the event with a time of 18:04.538.

The Blue close out the fall season next weekend at the 2016 Seven Sisters Championship. This year's race, hosted by Smith College, will take place on the Connecticut River in Northampton, Mass on the morning of Sunday, October 30.
