Blue Crew Releases 2019-20 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- After a third place finish last spring at the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships, Wellesley College crew and Head Coach Tessa Spillane have released the team's preliminary 2019-20 schedule.

The Blue will open the season on Saturday, October 12, at the Head of the Housatonic at Indian Well State Park in Shelton, Conn. The next weekend, Wellesley will turn its attention to The 55th Head Of The Charles Regatta on the Charles River in Boston on Sunday, October 20. Last year, the Blue finished tenth and 17th overall, earning a spot in the top-ten in the event for the eighth time in the last nine seasons. The team will close out the fall portion of its schedule with the Squad Regatta the following weekend (Oct. 26) in Boston.

Wellesley will return to the Charles River in the spring, beginning with a regatta featuring: William Smith, Williams, and the MIT Lightweights on Saturday, April 5. The next day, the Blue will make the first of four appearances on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass., squaring off with New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rival WPI and defending national champion Bates, as well as Rochester, and Trinity.

The team will return to Worcester for the 2020 NEWMAC Championships on Saturday, April 25. The New England Rowing Championships (May 2) and the National Invitational Rowing Championships (May 10) will also take place on Lake Quinsigamond.
