Blue Crew Places 10th/20th in V8+, 30th/33rd in V4+ At Head Of The Charles

BOSTON, Mass. – Wellesley College crew, the reigning NCAA Division III National Champion, had its first race of the 2023-24 season on Sunday at the 2023 Head Of The Charles Regatta (HOCR) at the Charles River.

Wellesley's Varsity Eight (V8+) boat raced out of Bow 2 and finished 10th out of 35 boats in the Women's Collegiate Eights race with a time of 18:31.543. Tufts Varsity Eight won the event with a time of 18:03.969.

Blue Crew's Second Varsity Eight (2V8+) competed in Bow 8 and placed 20th in the Women's Collegiate Eights race with a time of 19:10.607.

In the Women's Collegiate Fours event, Wellesley's Second Varsity Four (2V4+) raced in Bow 27 earned 30th with a time of 21:51.458 while Blue Crew's Varsity Four (V4+) was in Bow 38 and finished 33rd with a time of 22:25.939.
