Blue Crew Claims Second In V8+, 2V8+, 3V8+ at Skidmore Sprints

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Wellesley College rowing put up a trio of runner-up performances at the Skidmore Sprints at Fish Creek on Saturday.

Wellesley's Varsity Eight (V8+) came in second place out of six boats. Blue Crew had a time of 6:50.8, only 0.7 seconds off of first place Williams.

In the Second Varsity Eight (2V8+) event, Wellesley again took second to Williams. This time the Blue raced a time of 7:06.7, which was over 25 seconds ahead of the third place boat.

Blue Crew raced its Third Varsity Eight (3V8+) and Fourth Varsity Eight (4V8+) boats in the Third Varsity Eight event. The 3V8+ came in second place with a time of 7:45.5. The 4V8+ stroked a time of 8:01.5 to take fourth.

Up next, Blue Crew races against Tufts, Bates and Wesleyan at the Malden River on Saturday, March 13.
