Blue Swimming & Diving Set For NEWMAC Championships at MIT

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College swimming & diving will compete in the 2020 New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships this weekend at MIT's Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center in Cambridge, Mass.

The Blue finished fifth at last year's NEWMAC Championships but enter the meet with a 5-0 dual meet record against NEWMAC competition this season. Wellesley will look for performances from Jessica Wegner (Taipei, Taiwan) and Hannah May (Cincinnati, Ohio). Wegner leads the conference in the 100 Fly (56.40) with a NCAA "B" cut time, while May has top-finishes in the 100 Free (52.87) and 200 Free (1:54.22). The Blue will also aim for a solid performance in the 800 Free Relay (7:47.99), as it currently ranks second in the NEWMAC.

All Session Passes will be available at the door for $25 ($15 for seniors). All Day Passes are $10 ($5 for seniors). All Session Passes for Students are $1. Live Video and Live Results will be available throughout the meet at the links below.

Competition begins on Thursday evening, February 20, with finals at 6:00 PM and continues Friday-Sunday, February 21-23. Preliminary competition will take place at 10:00 AM and will be followed by finals at 6:00 PM each day. For more information, visit newmacsports.com.
