Blue Swimming & Diving’s Dashti Ready to Compete at The 2024 Olympic Games

Rising Wellesley College swimming & diving junior Lara Dashti (Kuwait) is set to represent the nation of Kuwait at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. Dashti will become the first student-athlete in Wellesley Athletics history to compete at the Olympics while still an active member of the Blue.
Liu, Magavi, Sekhon Represent Blue Swimming & Diving on CSCAA Individual Scholar All-American Team

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomores Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.), Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) and first year Jaya Magavi (West Hartford, Conn.) are among the over 2,000 swimmers and divers on the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team for the 2023-24 season. Liu and Sekhon have each made the First Team while Magavi has been named a Second Team honoree.

Wellesley College swimming & diving has been named a Spring 2024 Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Blue posted a 3.61 team GPA to earn the accolade.
Dawn Dill Named Head Swimming & Diving Coach at Wellesley College

Bethany Ellis, Director of Athletics and Chair of the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics (PERA) at Wellesley College has announced the hiring of Dawn Dill as Head Swimming & Diving Coach and PERA Assistant Professor of the Practice. A former assistant coach for the Blue, Dill will officially rejoin the Wellesley community on July 1, 2024.

College Sports Communicators (CSC) has released its Academic All-District Women's Swimming & Diving Teams on Tuesday. Among the honorees are Wellesley College swimming & diving seniors McKaela Glanville (Menlo Park, Calif.), Alice Johnson (Seattle, Wash.), Ariana Mitsuoka (Centennial, Colo) and Mira Tang (Mercer Island, Wash.).
Wellesley Swimming & Diving Head Coach Bonnie Dix Announces Retirement

Bonnie Dix, Wellesley College Head Swimming & Diving Coach and Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics (PERA) Associate Professor of the Practice has announced her retirement following a remarkable 37-year tenure at the helm of the Blue Swimming & Diving program. Dix will officially retire at the conclusion of the 2023-24 academic year; a nationwide search for Wellesley’s next head coach is already underway.

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) and the 400 Free Relay team of senior Ariana Mitsuoka (Centennial, Colo.), sophomore Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.), Sekhon and sophomore Aubrey Cantrell (Palo Alto, Calif.) were in action on the final day of the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. The event has taken place at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) placed eighth in the 100 Breaststroke to become an All-American on Friday at the 2024 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The event is being held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, hosted by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) won the 200 Breaststroke race on the final day of the NEWMAC Championships, held at MIT's Zesiger Center Pool. The Blue finished fifth out of 10 in the team competition for the second straight year.
Sekhon Wins 100 Breaststroke on Third Day of NEWMAC Swimming & Diving Championships

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) won the 100 Breaststroke event to earn NEWMAC First Team All-Conference honors on Saturday at the NEWMAC Championships, held at MIT's Zesiger Center Pool. Sekhon's time of 1:02.37 shattered her own program record and was good for an NCAA "B" cut.
