Wellesley Swimming & Diving's Dashti Set to Race at World Aquatics Championships

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College swimming and diving sophomore Lara Dashti (Kuwait) is set to compete in the World Aquatics Championships. The competition is taking place in Doha, Qatar from February 2-18, 2024.

Dashti will be representing Kuwait in the 50m Free and 100m Breaststroke events. Dashti previously competed for her country at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. She took part in the 50m Free event and was a flagbearer.

2024 marks the 21st edition of the World Aquatic Championships. The event was last held in Fukuoka, Japan in 2023, where Dashti took part in the 50m and 100m Breaststroke events.

Dashti races in the 100m Breaststroke on Monday, February 12. Dashti then competes in the 50m Free on Saturday, February 17.
