Blue Swimming & Diving's Sekhon, 200 Medley Relay Set to Compete at NCAA Championships

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) and the 200 Medley Relay team of sophomore Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.), Sekhon, sophomore Aubrey Cantrell (Palo Alto, Calif,), senior Ariana Mitsuoka (Centennial, Colo.) and alternate senior McKaela Glanville (Menlo Park, Calif.) have qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships.

The championships take place at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. from March 20-23, 2024. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference will host the event.

Sekhon recently won the 100 and 200 Breaststroke at the NEWMAC Championships and earned First Team All-Conference honors in each. Both of her winning times were Wellesley program records. Sekhon's 100 Breaststroke time of 1:02.37 is currently seventh in Division III this season. The sophomore is 11th in Division III in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:18.02.

The 200 Medley Relay team is ranked 19th in Division III this season with a time of 1:44.06. Liu will also be competing in the 100 Back, as her NEWMAC Championships time of 56.74 earned an NCAA "B" cut.

The 200 Medley Relay competition takes place on Wednesday, March 20. Sekhon will also race in the 200 IM on Wednesday, March 20. The 400 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay events will be held on Thursday, March 21. Sekhon will compete in the 100 Breaststroke and Liu swims in the 100 Back on Friday, March 22. Sekhon races in the 200 Breaststroke event and the 400 Free Relay competes on Saturday, March 23.
