Blue Swimming & Diving's Sekhon Earns All-American Honors in 100 Breaststroke at NCAA Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) placed eighth in the 100 Breaststroke to become an All-American on Friday at the 2024 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The event is being held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, hosted by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Sekhon's time of 1:02.85 in the Championship Final earned 11 points for the Blue. Sekhon is the first swimming & diving All-American since Jessica Wegner '22 back in 2020. Kenyon junior Jennah Fadely (Siler City, N.C.) won the 100 Breaststroke finals with a time of 59.80.

Earlier in the day, Sekhon placed seventh in the prelims with a time of 1:02.46 to qualify for the Championship Final.

Sophomore Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.) also competed for the Blue on Friday. Liu finished 31st in the 100 Back prelims with a time of 57.84 and did not advance to the finals.

Sekhon competes in the 200 Breaststroke and the 400 Free Relay races tomorrow. Prelims are set to begin at 10:00 AM.
