A record-breaking spring culminated with Blue crew winning the first NCAA national championship in program history and the first team national championship in Wellesley school history. That victory helped Wellesley to match its program-best 63rd place finish in the 2015-16 Learfield Directors' Cup Standings. For more on the 2016 season, check out the team summaries below.

Host Tufts University swept the opening doubles match-ups before going on to sweep through singles play in a 9-0 victory over Wellesley College tennis on Thursday afternoon at the Voute Tennis Courts.

Blue Tennis Tops Bryn Mawr, Falls to Vassar at Seven Sisters

Wellesley College tennis opened the day with a 5-0 sweep of Bryn Mawr before falling to host Vassar College, 4-1, in the de facto championship match of the 2016 Seven Sisters tennis championship on Sunday at Walker Field House. Wellesley is now 16-5 on the season.

Wellesley College tennis swept through doubles and took five victories in singles to open the spring half of the 2015-16 season with an 8-1 victory over host Texas Lutheran at the TLU Varsity Tennis Courts on Tuesday evening. Wellesley improves to 9-4 overall, dropping Texas Lutheran to 6-8 on the season.

Second-seeded Babson College tennis earned a 5-2 victory over third-seeded Wellesley College on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals of the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women’s tennis tournament at MIT’s DuPont Tennis Courts. The Beavers improve to 11-1 on the year with the victory, while Wellesley ends the fall season with an 8-4 mark.

With the conclusion of the 2015 women's tennis regular season this evening, the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has released the 2015 NEWMAC Women's Tennis Tournament Pairings. The women's tennis tournament consists of six teams that will compete for the title which will begin on Wednesday, October 21st.
