Wellesley Tennis Earns ITA Team Academic Honors, Seven Named Scholar-Athletes

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2018 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday. In all, 735 teams and 4,328 student-athletes across all five divisions of college tennis were honored including the Wellesley College tennis program and seven members of the Blue tennis team.
Wellesley Tennis Lands Three on NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team

Wellesley College tennis junior Justine Huang (Coto de Caza, Calif.), sophomore Selina Peng (Taichung, Taiwan), and first year Lily Chu (Princeton, N.J.) have each been named to the 2018 New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Tennis All-Conference second team. Huang and Peng were selected as the top doubles squad on the All-Conference second team, while Chu was selected as the No. 6 singles player.

Wellesley ends the regular season with a 13-7 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the NEWMAC.

Wellesley improves to 12-7 overall and 5-2 in the NEWMAC while Mount Holyoke drops to 7-10 on their season and 4-3 in conference.
