As part of NCAA Division III Week, Wellesley Athletics will feature daily profiles that will provide an opportunity to meet our outstanding Division III student-athletes. Each profile will touch on multiple aspects of the student-athlete experience, including: on and off the field accomplishments, leadership and community involvement and what being a Division III student-athlete means to them. Our first profile focuses on senior Hannah Flesch, a native of Rockville, Maryland and a four-year member of the Wellesley field hockey programs.

Blue Field Hockey Receives Academic Honors From NFHCA

Wellesley College field hockey has been named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Team Award honoree for the 2015 season. In addition, seniors Hannah Flesch (Rockville, Md.) and Caroline Guild (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and sophomore Emmy Hamilton have been individually named to the Division III National Academic Squad.

Wellesley College field hockey senior Anissa Sridhar (London, Ontario, Canada) has been named a 2015 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) / Longstreth Division III Third Team All-American for the second straight season. Sridhar becomes the sixth player in program history to earn multiple All-American honors.

Wellesley College field hockey has earned an at-large bid and a first round bye and will play on at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, at Howard Ryan Field in Brunswick, Maine.
