Blue Lacrosse Snags IWLCA Academic Honor Squad Recognition; Six Named to Academic Honor Roll

Wellesley College lacrosse has been named a 2024 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad. In addition, six members of the Blue lacrosse program have been named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll.
Wellesley Tennis Recognized as ITA All-Academic Team; Seven Earn Scholar-Athlete Honor

Wellesley College tennis has earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's All-Academic Team for the ninth season in a row. Additionally, seven members of the Blue have received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
Blue Swimming & Diving’s Dashti Ready to Compete at The 2024 Olympic Games

Rising Wellesley College swimming & diving junior Lara Dashti (Kuwait) is set to represent the nation of Kuwait at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. Dashti will become the first student-athlete in Wellesley Athletics history to compete at the Olympics while still an active member of the Blue.

Wellesley College track & field has been honored as an All-Academic Team for the 2023-24 NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field Season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Additionally, rising juniors Simone Beauchamp (Aurora, Colo.) and Ella Whinney (Madison, Wis.) have each been named All-Academic Athletes.
Liu, Magavi, Sekhon Represent Blue Swimming & Diving on CSCAA Individual Scholar All-American Team

Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomores Tracey Liu (Princeton, N.J.), Kavita Sekhon (Los Angeles, Calif.) and first year Jaya Magavi (West Hartford, Conn.) are among the over 2,000 swimmers and divers on the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team for the 2023-24 season. Liu and Sekhon have each made the First Team while Magavi has been named a Second Team honoree.
Blue Fencing Receives USFCA All-Academic Team Accolade; 11 Claim Individual Honors

Wellesley College fencing has been named a United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) All-Academic Team honoree. Additionally, 11 members of the Blue have received individual USFCA honors, including six who have been named Scholars of Distinction.

Wellesley College swimming & diving has been named a Spring 2024 Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Blue posted a 3.61 team GPA to earn the accolade.
Wellesley Athletics Earns Six CSC Academic All-District At-Large Selections

Six Wellesley College student-athletes have been recognized on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team. Crew senior Rachel Shrives (Harvard, Mass.) and junior Colette Kennedy (Mill Valley, Calif.) field hockey seniors Kyra Deehr-Lewis (Newtown, Pa.) and Cassidy Novello (Scotch Plains, N.J.), fencing senior Edith Po (Bernardsville, N.J.) and lacrosse senior Gabrielle Shell (Columbus, Ohio) all receive the honor.

Boots '13 (Cross Country and Track & Field), Kimberly Eaton '11 (Golf), Jenna Harvey Sinclair '08 (Softball), and JJ (Janet Jodi) Hanousek Larson '90 (Basketball/Lacrosse/Soccer) as the Wellesley Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024.
Dawn Dill Named Head Swimming & Diving Coach at Wellesley College

Bethany Ellis, Director of Athletics and Chair of the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics (PERA) at Wellesley College has announced the hiring of Dawn Dill as Head Swimming & Diving Coach and PERA Assistant Professor of the Practice. A former assistant coach for the Blue, Dill will officially rejoin the Wellesley community on July 1, 2024.
