The Wellesley College crew team will bring home hardware for the second year in a row, taking third place in the team scoring at the 2012 NCAA Division III Rowing Championships.

The Wellesley College crew team had a successful day one, to open the 2012 Division III Rowing Championships on Thursday. Blue boats raced three times on the day, with both the varsity eight and the second varsity eight advancing to the grand finals.
Wellesley Crew Participates in Community Outreach with Special Olympics

The Wellesley College crew team participated in a community outreach program sponsored by the NCAA as part of the 2012 Division III Rowing Championships. The Blue joined with other NCAA teams to spend a day with the Special Olympics.
Black Named All-American; Seven Rowers Earn Academic Honors

Wellesley College crew student-athlete Taylor Black highlighted the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) post-season recognition for the Blue, being named to the Division III Pocock All-America Team. In addition to Black’s honor, seven team members were named CRCA National Scholar-Athletes.

The Wellesley College crew team earned two medals, including gold in the novice race, capping a successful day of racing on Lake Quinsigamond at the 2012 ECAC National Invitational Collegiate Regatta. Wellesley finished fourth overall at the event, held in Worcester, MA.

The Wellesley College crew team took third place overall, second among Division III competition, at the 2012 New England Rowing Championships on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday. The third place finish ties the best finish for the team in program history.

The Wellesley College crew team took home the team title at the 2012 Malden Spirit Regatta, hosted by Tufts University on the Malden River. The Blue went undefeated at the event, winning every contested race.

Kaufman Selected to Prestigious USRowing Rookie Camp

Wellesley College coxswain Emma Kaufman was one of 24 athletes invited to the prestigious USRowing 2012 Women’s Freshman Camp. Kaufman, a native of Norwich, Vt., is one of only two Division III selections.

With a dominating effort in all four races, the Wellesley College crew team took home the team title at the 2011 Seven Sisters Championship Regatta. The Blue swept each race to piled up 40 points, for their third consecutive Seven Sisters title. This season's event was hosted by Smith College at Sportsman's Marina in Hadley, MA.

The Wellesley College crew team had a solid weekend of racing, competing at the 47th annual Head of the Charles Regatta. The event, the largest two-day regatta in the world, features 8,000 athletes from around the world competing in 55 different events.

The Wellesley College crew team opened the 2011 fall racing season with a fantastic performance at the Snake Regatta on Worcester’s Lake Quinsigamond. The Blue entered five boats in the event, recording four top-two finishes on the day.
